IPSWICH NEWBORN PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHER | RACEVIEW STUDIO | 3 BABY GIRLS

It's been terribly (in a good way) hectic around here with newborn baby girl sessions, in fact, I have photographed 3 in a row, all equally as gorgeous.  Meet Harper, Harriet and Tallyn......each of these sessions took place at my home based studio located in Raceview.  My little studio is my newborn haven.  It is warm, cosy, smells divine and sounds great to boot.  I use a specially designed posing bag specifically for newborns, and gorgeous thick blankets and wraps.  There are cute little beanies, hand made headbands and all sorts of props to use as well, to add a personal element to each session.

One of my most frequently asked questions is..... when is the ideal time to book in for your newborn portraits?..... it depends on the images that you want, typically under two weeks is ideal if it's the sleepy images you are after, like those pictured below.  Ideally, under 7 days is perfect.  Newborn babies tend to become less sleepy at around the 10 day mark, and are a little harder to settle.  Most expecting mother's pre-book their sessions for around their due date, and change this date according to when baby arrives.  I always keep spare weekday sessions for newborns so I can remain flexible in scheduling sessions.  If you would like to pre-book or simply chat more about booking a session for your newborn baby, I would love to chat with you more, feel free to visit our website, email me or call 0419731709.

IPSWICH MATERNITY PHOTOGRAPHER | HAIGSLEA PROPERTY | ELESIA

If you've ever heard the term Pregnancy glow....Elesia had it all over!!  I'm in all kinds of love with these images,  I just couldn't pick a favourite, pregnancy definitely agrees with her....right?  I always see something different at this Haigslea property, each time I shoot here I try and see it from a new perspective.

Elesia had complete trust in me.  She was completely open to my ideas.  The result is a relaxed natural feel in her images.

I hope you enjoy this little collection of Maternity Portraits, they are only "just a few" of my favourites.

If you are unsure of the process, this is the "Sam I am" way.....there is no guess work, and nothing is left to chance.  Each session is carefully planned out to look just the way YOU intended.  Upon making contact with me, I will schedule a Pre Portrait Design Consultation - a no obligation "chat" to discuss what you are looking for to ensure I am the right photographer for you. We will also discuss locations, clothing choices, make-up, pricing, contracts and any other concerns you may have. This is also a fantastic opportunity for me to meet you in person so you don't have to deal with a "complete stranger" on the day of your creative session.  This is just the beginning the Portrait process.  All you need to do is make first contact....easy!

PREGNANCY BABIES AND CHILDREN'S EXPO | IPSWICH PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHER

For many years, it had been one of my goals to attend and exhibit at a major Expo.  This year the opportunity arose to exhibit at the Brisbane Pregnancy Babies and Children's Expo, and I grabbed it.  A place had become available, and with only three weeks to prepare, we just knew we had to make it happen.  Make it happen, we did.

Dan and I got straight into planning what we needed, what the display would look like, what Maternity and Newborn images we would display, we measured out the size of the stall in the dining room and planned out where everything would go.

We were very excited.  With all the planning, surely nothing could go wrong??? Well.....there were only a couple of "hitches" like not having the right screws to put the cot together, and misspelling of our business name on the banner, nothing team Sam I am couldn't handle.

Our attendance at the expo was a huge success.  All the nerves, hard work and lack of sleep was absolutely worth it in the end.

IPSWICH MATERNITY PHOTOGRAPHER | MT MARROW PROPERTY | BEC & SHANE

The recent weather hasn't been my friend, having to revisit this Mt Marrow location due to rain.  Never mind, I see it this way, we got the best of two sessions all in one.

I love these images of Bec and Shane, the anticipation of their baby girls arrival is evident in their eyes, and so is the love they already feel for her.  This is going to be one very lucky little girl.

Enjoy this little collection of my favourite images for Bec and Shanes Maternity Portraits.
