Capturing connection between families is the best part of the portrait session ~ the natural interaction between father and son, mummy and her baby boy. Feeling the love these parents have for their little boy, is what I love to photograph.  I can see the love between this family, but you can feel it in their photos.  As Piglet asked Pooh - "How do you spell LOVE??" Pooh replies "You don't spell it, you feel it"

NOAH'S FAMILY PORTRAIT | IPSWICH PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHER | PRIVATE PROPERTY

Noah's mummy had a very clear vision for her family portraits, even the props were supplied by her and the location was another trick up her sleeve, It was my job to execute her vision, and that I did.  Never have I come across such a lovely person and beautiful family.  Noah is very lucky to have Renee and Josh as his parents.

Family is everything. We're born into it, made for it and spend our lives growing it. It's about legacy. Everything that Josh and I are together in marriage, Noah already is by himself. Children take the best parts of who you are and build upon the ground you establish. Family changes everything! Noah has brought such joy into our lives. He makes us more aware of the hidden, little wonders in every day and causes our eyes to turn to what is truly important. Children have a gift of finding significance in anything, not matter how small. This is how we should live! As he discovers new sounds and sights, we find ourselves rediscovering the whole world around us too. I love his depth of character, the strength and determination and willingness to give anything a go. But what I love most is that he never gives up. What a privilege it is to see the gifts within him and spend our days stewarding a son into the call upon his life! ~ Renee

She is patient, creative and understanding of all issues associated with trying to shoot with a little one (Noah was 7 months at the time and we'd had a shocker of a day with no more than 20mins sleep. Meet Ethan and his family.  

Stevi, him mummy, is expecting little boy number two in the last image.  At the time of their family portraits we were both pregnant, almost the same distance through, our little boys are only 8 weeks apart.  How blessed am I to have so many little boys to photograph lately.  

Stevi quite often says that Ethan is quite the little cyclone at home,  he looks far to innocent to be into mischief, perhaps a little devil in disguise??

I have been lucky enough to document this little families milestones since Toni and Joel were expecting their first baby boy.  Here he is again almost one year later.

When Toni was scheduling their session, she mentioned that Tomas was almost walking.  Quick I said, we need to have your session just before he is off and running, or we'll never catch him.  Perfect timing I say!!

I've seen this little fella from just a bump in his mummy's belly.  Now almost turning ONE.  How time flies.

I just love the wonder and curiosity of this age.  Amy knew exactly what she wanted for this shoot and supplies all of the props.  All I had to do was execute her vision.  I think I passed.

I recently made a house call to this gorgeous family who already have 2 year old twin boys.  It would have been such a handful for Vicky to make the trip with them all, so I kindly offered to have her very first newborn session at home.... The twin boys proved to be much more work than I anticipated, they were so excited to have their baby sister home, Vicky certainly has her work cut out for her.  Most of our newborn sessions take place at my home based studio located in Raceview, Ipswich, however, I am happy to travel to your home for your newborn session to make life easier on you.

Little girls and tutu's.....2 of my favourite things.  My other favourite thing is one on one sessions....This gives me the opportunity to get creative, style the session and concentrate on one subject....some of my best sessions have been Birthday Mini Shoots, simply because they are designed to be fun, and all about the birthday girl/boy.  Mostly they love to be the centre of attention.  Mostly that's what I love.  It took Paige one whole outfit change to warm into the session, then there was no stopping her, on the back of a long day (her Birthday Party earlier that day) she did soooo well, such a mini trooper!!

You may have seen this location in some of my other sessions, it has to be another one of my favourite places to visit.  It is a rarely used railway station at Swanbank.  An old steam train is the only train that uses the tracks.

I had the pleasure of meeting these two gorgeous women for our Annual Show You Care Event.  We met in person and started to design their portrait session, wardrobe choices and location.  Jaunita and Sam put so much effort into their wardrobe choices and made the whole experience so much fun for themselves and me, totally styled and themed to best describe their personalities.  They wanted to reflect a fashion type shoot, and that's exactly what they did, these images could be on the pages of a magazine....Thank you for choosing me to capture such a wonderful friendship and time in your lives.

IPSWICH MATERNITY PHOTOGRAPHER | HAIGSLEA PROPERTY | LISA & WAYNE

As I too am anticipating the birth of a baby, I know only too well the emotions and changes that occur within the body.  It really is such a surreal feeling....one that is hard to describe.  The physical changes are obvious, the feelings inside and emotions, not so obvious.  I love capturing the beauty of the expanding pregnant belly.  Every woman who is pregnant exudes that glow, that there is another life stirring on the inside, and yet it is only you who knows what that feels like.  It's such a precious feeling, those little kicks, hiccups, flutters from within, simply the most amazing feeling.

Lisa had requested the country for her Maternity Portraits, this property can to mind immediately...so a short drive out to my favourite place for their session - Haigslea.

I wish Lisa all the best with the arrival of her little bundle of joy.....♥

I had never been out to Munbilla, so this little drive west was going to be loads of fun.  Of course a new location and a darling little girl to photograph for the afternoon.  We had lots of time and wardrobe changes, playing with my brand new basket, purchased especially for this session.  Elsie reminded me so much of my own little girl, they are really close in age, and doing many of the same things.  Makes me want to do another session of my baby girl, perhaps I should put that at the top of my list of important things to do!!

The recent weather hasn't been my friend, having to revisit this Mt Marrow location due to rain.  Never mind, I see it this way, we got the best of two sessions all in one.  

I love these images of Bec and Shane, the anticipation of their baby girls arrival is evident in their eyes, and so is the love they already feel for her.  This is going to be one very lucky little girl.

IPSWICH CHILDREN'S PHOTOGRAPHER | ROBELLE DOMAIN SPRINGFIELD | TEDDIES AND TUTUS

I don't know any kid who doesn't enjoy dressing up.  Little girls in Tutus and little boys with teddy bears in bow ties.....well, there's nothing sweeter.  These mini sessions proved to be a hit among the children who attended.  Exploring while on portrait sessions is my favourite thing to do. 

Each child is completely unique, and offers something great.  That is what makes each session different, their personalities are projected differently, but uniquely.  It's also what makes it fun.

LITTLE MISS A | S.M.A.S.H SESSION | IPSWICH CHILDREN'S' PHOTOGRAPHER

There are so many gorgeous little girls turning ONE, (mine included of course) I think it was just coincidence but when I had Alexis, there were about 4 other little girls born around the same time.  This S.M.A.S.H session is part of our Birthday Club. (if you would like to learn more about our Birthday Club click here) I really enjoy making the HUGE cupcakes for these sessions, I think it's part of my creativity, though let it be known, I'm definitely no cake decorator :) I just find it fun to do.  We decided to use Kholo Botanic Gardens for Little Miss A's S.M.A.S.H session, and it proved to be a great choice.  So happy the rain held off for us, as this week it rained every other day!!  Enjoy this series of images, although Little miss didn't particularly like getting her hands dirty and really smash the cake, she did a great job, and really only ate a little bit.
